Currently, Apex supports about 50 leading market area brands across the country. We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing Community Engagement Manager to join our Apex Partner Services team. This role is pivotal in shaping how we establish our brands in local communities. By guiding how we bring our brands to life in each local community, the Community Engagement Manager will help us to drive brand awareness and attract new customers.
Role Overview:
As the Community Engagement Manager for Apex Service Partners, you will guide and advise 50 leading market area brands on their community engagement strategy, partnerships and initiatives. You will act as the liaison for the Apex Partner Services team with our local Community Engagement Specialists. By guiding our strategy and capturing best practices, you will help us to drive brand awareness and connect with local communities throughout the country.
The Community Engagement Manager will work closely with our PR agency to secure media opportunities, and our Media agency help align our community engagement initiatives with our strategic marketing plans. The Community Engagement Manager will also guide out we partner with local business chambers, college athletics and/or professional sports to optimize these relationships for our local brands.
Social media acumen will be a key to this position as you will be expected to work closely with our Social Media Manager to guide our branded content. This role will also be responsible for tracking and consolidating the performance of our brands on community engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is able to multi-task between large projects, manage deadlines, communicate effectively with internal and external partners, and have a passion to exceed business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the over-arching community engagement strategy for Apex Service Partners.
- Design community engagement tactics & activations tailored to Home Services.
- Guide the planning and execution of events at our local brands to improve our event execution.
- Develop a community engagement playbook for all local brands.
- Manage larger strategic partnerships with charitable organizations, colleges and/or professional sports teams.
- Be an internal champion of community marketing by sharing out our strongest partnerships, largest activations and top-performing brands.
- Identify best practices to drive internal team engagement through volunteer opportunities, recognition and celebrations.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams, agency partners and media outlets to keep projects on time and on track.
- Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to align community engagement strategies with overall business goals. Strong partnership must also exist between our Community Engagement Manager and our Social Media Manager, as the SMM brings local efforts and initiatives to life on social channels. The role will coordinate cross-functional efforts to support relevant holidays, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Build consolidated reports on community efforts and media exposure. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to help improve our ROI.
- Advise teams on how to track and measure the performance of local events and partners to help understand ROI.
Qualifications:
- 3-4+ years of PR, community engagement or marketing experience with increasing responsibility and a proven track record of success
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong strategic capabilities as well as hands-on tactical ability
- Strong cross-functional management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives
- Extensive marketing experience in home services or similar industry
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
- Must be passionate about community engagement and making a positive impact in local communities
Role Requirements:
- Role is full time in Las Colinas, TX
- All employees must work in our office 3 days a week, with Mondays and Fridays being standard “in-office” days for everyone
- Travel Requirements: up to 25%, to spend time with local brands in field
